Early Learning Curriculum

RIDE Endorsed Preschool/Pre-K Curriculum

In February 2024, the Rhode Island Department of Elementary and Secondary Educaiton (RIDE) issued a Request for Curriculum to publishers of evidence-based, comprehensive, and/or content/domain-specific curriculum for children ages three to five to align with the state's 2023 Early Learning and Development Standards (RIELDS) and other metrics of a high-quality early learning curriculum.

Through submissions received, RIDE has been able to engage in a multitiered curriculum review process alongside teams of educators and promote a final list of curriculum that is RIDE Endorsed. This assessment and final curriculum endorsement is to be used for the purposes of selecting curricula in licensed child care centers, family child care homes, Head Starts, RI Pre-K programs, Local Education Agencies, and other early childhood programs across the state.

Please expand the accordion tab below to view each endorsed curriculum's review rubric and contact information.

The reviews linked below are those that were found by the review teams to have met the minimum requirements for RIDE Endorsement. A curriculum is considered to have met minimum requirements for endorsement if it has been determined that it meets most indicators as outlined in the Tier I and Tier II review rubrics. Although RIDE staff may have edited reviews for clarity and sentence structure, the views expressed in the reports are those of review team members and not of RIDE staff.

  • Note: Rubrics are linked for 2024 Curriculum Review Submissions that received endorsement but are not available for pre-2024 endorsements at this time.

Review reports are to be used by preschool and pre-k programs as guides for selecting a high quality curriculum. Programs are encouraged to conduct their own reviews of the materials before making their final adoption decisions.

  • Note: The Center for Early Learning Professionals have physical copies of most endorsed curriculum in house. Please contact the Center directly if you would like to explore the curriculum prior to purchase.
