Rhode Island's 2022-2027 Strategic Plan for Public Education

The Rhode Island Board of Education is thrilled to announce the completion of Rhode Island’s strategic planning process culminating in a statewide vision for PK-20 public education through 2027.

On February 22nd, 2022, the Rhode Island Board of Education voted to approve Rhode Island's Strategic Plan for Public Education: 2022-2027 that will guide the strategic actions of both Councils, the Department of Elementary & Secondary Education, and the Office of the Postsecondary Commissioner for the next five years. This document includes a six-year strategic plan for PK-12 Education that was adopted by the Council on Elementary & Secondary Education on December 8, 2020; a five-year plan for Postsecondary Education that was adopted by the Council on Postsecondary Education on February 16, 2022; and a five-year plan for significant work toward joint goals.
