MBE Initiative

The School Building Authority and the Division of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion have been partnering on a new initiative to create a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Incubator Program geared towards 11th and 12th graders in our public schools.

The purpose of this cross-agency initiative is to help graduating students succeed by taking advantage of opportunities created through the upcoming school construction legislation. However, we are not just targeting the construction industry, but all industries.  Ideally, this will tie into apprenticeship opportunities through DLT and RI Promise Grants at RIC/CCRI to give students certifications, education, and experience.
