PROVIDENCE, RI – Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green today announced that the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) has received over 100,000 responses to SurveyWorks, its annual survey of Rhode Island students, families, and educators.
While SurveyWorks was originally scheduled to conclude on April 10, 2026, due to the impact of the Blizzard of 2026, RIDE is announcing the SurveyWorks window will remain open through April 17, 2026.
As of March 26, 2026, more than 65,000 students, over 25,000 families, and over 11,000 educators and administrators participated in the survey, bringing the total to over 100,000 respondents to RIDE’s 2026 survey.
“Through SurveyWorks, Rhode Island students, educators, and families have the opportunity to make their voice heard,” said Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green. “When educators and leaders actively listen to student voices, school communities gain a clearer understanding of what is working, what feels challenging, and where more support is needed. We urge all school community members to participate.”
RIDE has been highlighting schools and Local Education Agencies (LEAs) where students, educators, and families are responding to SurveyWorks, including the Vartan Gregorian Elementary School in Providence, where over 90% of students and 100% of staff have completed SurveyWorks.
At North Smithfield High School, nearly 90% of students, and nearly 100% of staff, and 74% of families have completed the survey.
Additionally, at Francis J. Varieur Elementary School in Pawtucket, 100% of students and 80% of families have provided important feedback to their school community by completing SurveyWorks for 2026.
