Media Advisory: Rhode Island Department of Education to Host State of Education Event at Rhode Island School for the Deaf

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Governor Dan McKee, Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green, and the Rhode Island Department of Education will join the Rhode Island School for the Deaf community to highlight the exceptional work happening in Rhode Island schools. This year’s theme is: A State Education System on the Move.  

 

A speaking program will follow a gallery walk featuring interactive activities hosted by students, educators, and RIDE staff members. Appetizers will be offered by students in the Davies Career & Technical High Hospitality Careers program. Due to limited space, attendees are asked to register here.  

 

Note: The school respectfully requests that attendees do not wear heeled/spiked shoes. Guests may park in the school’s parking lot and are asked to enter through the gymnasium entrance.
