Rhode Island 2010 Teacher of the Year - Dana Ramey Dana Ramey teaches Spanish at Middletown High School. At the time he was recognized as Rhode Island Teacher of the Year, he had been teaching for 18 years. Dana is motivated as a language teacher by his love for the blending of language, culture and education, and the joy of seeing his students learn to speak a new language. Dana serves on the Board of Directors for the Rhode Island Foreign Language Association and has presented at various conferences and initiates across the northeast. Dana earned a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Spanish from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and earned a Masters of Education from the University of Rhode Island.
