Office of Statewide Efficiencies

The Office of Statewide Efficiencies assists districts and charter schools with significant budget deficits and develops new, more streamlined procurement practices.

Over the past four years, the office has worked on creating a Uniform Chart of Accounts (UCOA), which will provide transparency, uniformity, accountability, and comparability regarding the finances of each district, charter, and state school. The Office of Statewide Efficiencies oversees the School Construction Program, Nutrition, Transportation, UCOA, Wireless Classroom Initiative, E-Rate and provides assistance as needed to distressed communities.

The Office of Statewide Efficiencies assists Local Education Agencies (LEAs) in order to help them invest their resources wisely. By working with districts and charter schools to find costs savings, we seek to optimize the usage of existing dollars and redirect funds into the classroom.
