This is the source for Child Nutrition Programs (CNP) sponsored trainings, workshops, and conferences. RIDE develops and conducts program and nutrition training designed to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to understand and comply with USDA requirements.

What to Expect: This USDA-hosted webinar will review the recently passed final rule, which updates the NSLP meals patterns to more closely align with the 2020-2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans. While the majority of this regulatory change will impact the NSLP and SBP, there are some changes that will impact CACFP and SFSP operators as well. This webinar will specifically review the CACFP and SFSP impacts of this final rule.

 

Students Take Charge! Culinary & Wellness Policy Training

What to Expect: The training provides School Nutrition Professionals with culinary techniques and ingredients for flavor and cultural relevance in school breakfast and lunch meal programs. JWU will be leading attendees through this session. Attendees are able to select the time that fits their schedule best with the same learning outcomes in the morning or afternoon session.


Business Managers and Wellness Committee Leaders will join us in the morning through lunch. Two concurrent sessions will include state contracts, strategies to involve students in school meals, and best practices to deepen the Wellness Committee's involvement in empowering students.

This training is open for school district chefs, school nutrition operation managers, business managers, and wellness committee leaders. As part of this training JWU will provide a chef demonstration of a student created recipe that you can add to your school meal programs.
