Each year, some items on the prior state assessment are released to help educators and families better understand the expectations of the assessment and to analyze student performance.
There are separate paper-based and computer-based released item documents. Most Rhode Island students took the computer-based RICAS tests. Generally, only students with an IEP or 504 plan requiring a paper-based test took paper-based assessments.
Item-level student scoring information for RICAS assessments is available in the RI Assessment Data Portal via RIDEmap (https://ridemap.ride.gov) and on Individual Student Reports shipped to districts.
New resources! Average computer-based test (CBT) item scores and reporting category scores at the state, district, and school levels are available below. There is a workbook for each grade and subject RICAS test. These aggregations include students who took the standard computer-based tests. Please see the Item Analysis Resources January 2019 document for additional information.
